The Lakara International Story
Lakara International was created from a simple belief: small choices can make a big difference.
I care about our environment and the impact that everyday products have on our planet. When I discovered sustainable footwear and accessories made from recycled and recovered materials, I was genuinely excited. Here were products that looked stylish, felt modern, and were helping to reduce waste at the same time.
That's why I started Lakara International.
My goal is to make it easier for people to discover brands that are looking to do things differently. Brands that embrace innovation, sustainability, and a more responsible approach to fashion.
Through Lakara International, I'm priveleged to offer products from BYMANYC® New York, a forward-thinking brand creating vegan footwear and accessories using recycled materials, including plastics recovered from our oceans.
For me, Lakara International is about more than fashion. It's about supporting positive change, celebrating diversity, respecting people and our environment, and making conscious choices that help create a better future.
Because when enough people make thoughtful, sustainable choices, small actions become powerful movements and positive change becomes possible.
Hello, I'm Kellieanne. It's wonderful to meet you.
I'm an entrepreneur, qualified educator and lifelong learner with a passion for helping people, communities and organisations create meaningful, sustainable change.
Throughout my journey, I've worked and volunteered across a diverse range of fields, from customer service and emergency response to community development and charitable governance. I have served as a trustee of a Scottish charity for years and have studied both International Environmental Policy and Humanitarian Aid. These experiences have shaped my belief that the most effective solutions are those that not only address today's challenges but also contribute to a better future for generations to come.
Curiosity, innovation and continuous learning sit at the heart of my work. Whether exploring emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, studying legal and social developments, or developing new ideas and initiatives, I enjoy bringing together insights from different disciplines to solve problems in creative and practical ways.
Above all, I believe in human potential. When people are given the right tools, opportunities and encouragement, they are capable of achieving far more than they often imagine. Through Lakara International, I hope to help create spaces where learning, collaboration and positive action can flourish, empowering individuals to make a meaningful difference in their own lives, their communities and the wider world.
